“Salentu: lu sule, lu mare, lu ientu”
“Salentu: lu sule, lu mare, lu ientu” or “Salento: the sun, the sea, the wind”. The sea, the sun and the wind are three fundamental ingredients of this land that especially in summer attracts many tourists for the clear waters, the sunny days and the wind that allows not only to mitigate the heat but also to practice sports such as kite-surfing and surfing. Located in the southernmost part of Puglia, in the so-called “heel of the boot”, Salento is bathed by the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Ionian Sea to the west.

The Wonders of Salento

The Sorrento Coast
A land that has been able to conquer writers, poets, painters and artists with its beauty, the Sorrento Coast is a stretch of Campania coast characterized by an ancient history, a crystal clear sea and a long gastronomic tradition. Surrounded on one side by the Tyrrhenian Sea and on the other by the green hills, the Sorrento Coast is a real gem to explore at a leisurely pace and letting yourself be conquered by the charm of its towns. The name of this beautiful area derives from the city of Sorrento, which is considered the central town of the coast and also the most important town.

Beaches and Authentic Flavors
Most of the seaside towns along the Sorrento Coast have grown over the years from small fishing villages to tourist centers renowned for their beautiful beaches and turquoise sea. Visiting these towns means getting lost in narrow streets invaded by the scent of lemons, discovering millenary traditions, swimming in small bays and tasting excellent local cuisine.
Tradition and Excellence
This stretch of the coast is also famous for various typical products such as limoncello, a liqueur obtained from the lemons of the Amalfi Coast with methods that have been handed down intact for generations, Gragnano pasta, buffalo mozzarella from Campania DOP and provolone del Monaco DOP. In summer, the Sorrento Coast can be a very popular destination for this reason, given the mild climate, we recommend visiting this area in the “mid-seasons”.
